5 Great Products to get you started on your Zero Waste Journey

I grew up in an environment where my family found being green to be a pain in the neck – it always seemed that we spent more time worrying about what we had to throw away than what we did have. But once we started making minor changes to our lifestyle, we realized that making small changes is much simpler and more fulfilling than we ever imagined! If you’re thinking about embarking on a zero-waste journey, many great products help make the process easier.

Here are five Great Products to get you started:

2. Reusable Bags – Say ‘No’ to single-use shopping bags with an upcycled tote bag made from used clothes or natural fibers. These handy little bags are lightweigh and easy to carry with you wherever you go and can be washed and reused repeatedly. Great for shopping, taking your lunch to work, or even as a traveling purse. You can now purchase a reusable bag at most retailers with various tyles and colors.

4. Reusable Water Bottle – Start by getting yourself a go d reusable water bottle and investing in a water filter for your faucet. Reusable bottles can be washed and refilled n most places, and pairing them with a water filter at home will be better for the environment and more convenient for you!

5. Reusable Straws – Reusable straws have become an environmental concern recently due to their widespread use and limited recyclability. Starting a zero-waste lifestyle doesn’t mean you have to give up drinking your favorite beverages altogether, though! To cut down on waste, try carrying a reusable straw with you wherever you’re headed or use an old glass one if there’s no available alternative. You can find stainless steel and biodegradable paper straws at your local grocery store!

Changing these five things in your everyday routine will make a huge difference toward a cleaner and healthier planet for our future! S nce I started a few years ago, I feel a lot lighter and more at ease knowing I’m making a difference and helping to reduce my carbon footprint simultaneously. I have fewer things in my home that I can’t use again, so I don’t bother getting rid of them, and when it comes time to get rid of something I no longer have use for, I just put it into the recycling. I remember when I would buy cases of water and have big bags of empty bottles in my trash every week, but now I fill up my reusable bottle every day and go all week without creating any garbage!

It makes you change how you buy things; your thought process also varies. You know that you can make an impact by doing something as simple as changing out those plastic water bottles for reusable water bottles.

Take Care, Everyone!
