Everyone has that one movie or a set of films they can repeatedly watch without getting bored. For me, these movies are not just a source of entertainment but also a way to unwind and relax after a long day. They are like comfort food that always keeps me in a good mood.
Here is a quick list of my 5 favorite movies that I can watch every day.

I love this movie; when I am feeling down or in turmoil, it never fails to put a smile on my face and improve my bad days. It has the power to make me feel at ease with the troubles I face. It helped me face the issues I had with my parents as well, to understand their journey and acceptance of who they are.

I like to say that this film reminds me that not all things are gold and that things are not always as you seem. It reaffirms that bad things can happen and that if you find the courage to find the good in people, the reward is far better than anything. The best lesson for me was that sometimes I need help, and I need to know that accepting it from others is okay.

Seeing a man’s journey and hope for the future gave me a look into one of the greatest filmmakers of all time. It inspires me to create and to find the courage to find what gives me life and meaning to create.
4. The Red Balloon (1956)

The Red Balloon is a timeless classic that tells the story of a young boy who befriends a magical red balloon. The movie is a visual treat that captures Paris’s beauty and childhood innocence. The hope of happiness the red balloon gave to a lonely boy in a deary city, to the panic of the bullies trying to take away the balloon. It reminds me that things are not always permanent and to grasp goodness and work through life’s adversities. It also taught me never to forget to dream and have an imagination because we all truly do not know where it will take us.

A team of 100 painters helped to bring this piece to life; they gave life to Vincent’s works, giving us another way to experience them.

I always choose one of these movies as my “reset” for when life gets overwhelming, and I need to take a break.
