Dressed up Ramen Recipe

I LOVE this quick and simple way where you can elevate your favorite ramen into a gourmet meal. Whether you’re a student looking for a convenient meal or a busy professional craving something tasty and satisfying, this dressed ramen recipe will surely impress. We get so busy we forget to eat, so when I get a chance and need something filling and quick, I always opt for a dressed-up Ramen.

Ingredients

  • Your favorite ramen noodles (1 pack)
  • Your choice of broth or water
  • 4-5 shiitake mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 2 scallions, chopped
  • Hot Sauce (optional)
  • 1 egg
  • Dash of sesame oil (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water/broth to boil and cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions.
  2. While the noodles are cooking, dice up the shiitake mushrooms, chop the scallions, and pick a hot sauce.
  3. Once the noodles are cooked, add the seasonings and mix well.
  4. Add in the sliced shiitake mushrooms and let it simmer for a couple of minutes until they become tender and release their flavors into the broth.
  5. Serve noodles in a bowl, and crack an egg immediately into the hot broth, allowing it to poach for a few minutes until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny.
  6. Then generously topping them with chopped scallions and hot sauce
  7. Drizzle a light amount of sesame oil over the dressed ramen for added depth of flavor (optional).
