I’m obsessed with the ones from Starbucks, but why spend extra money when you can recreate these scrumptious treats at home? Honestly, I’m already spending all that on the drinks anyway, so it’s great to have a way to satisfy my craving for a ham and cheese croissant without breaking the bank. The key to making these baked ham and cheese croissants is using premade croissant dough. I am no expert baker, so using store-bought croissant dough is convenient and time-saving.
Total Time:35 mins.
Yield:8 pieces
Ingredients
Store Brought Croissant Dough (1 can)
Sliced Ham (about 6-8 slices)
Cheese of your choice (I prefer Swiss or cheddar)
1 egg, beaten (optional, for egg wash)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to the temperature indicated on the croissant dough package.
Unroll the croissant dough and separate the triangles.
Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each triangle of dough.
Roll up each triangle, starting from the wider end and tucking in the sides as you go.
Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space in between each one. 6. Using a pastry brush, lightly brush the tops of the croissants with beaten egg for a golden finish (optional).
Bake the croissants in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown and puffed up
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the croissants cool slightly before serving.
