Spicy Candied Bacon Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound of thick-cut bacon
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper
  • Dry Pepper flakes for Garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat your pan to a low medium heat
  • Lay the bacon strips flat on the pan, leaving space between them to allow for even cooking and crispy edges.
  • Mix the brown sugar, chili powder, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl until well combined.
  • Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over each bacon strip, making sure to coat both sides as you flip.
  • Prepare a rack so your bacon strips have a place to rest.
  • While the bacon is resting, sprinkle some dry pepper flakes on both sides for an extra kick and texture.
  • Once the bacon is done resting, if you want them to be more flavorful, you can pop them in the dehydrator.
  • Enjoy them, I ate 5 pieces while making them!
