- 2 tablespoons ginger minced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 3 Thai chilis finely chopped (adjust to your desired level of spiciness)
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 scallions thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon dry pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon pepper powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- A pinch of MSG Umami optional
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
Add the minced ginger, garlic, and finely chopped Thai chilis to the skillet. Sauté the ingredients for about 2-3 minutes, until they become fragrant and slightly browned.
Add the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, scallions, dry pepper flakes, pepper powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
Stir everything together until well combined, and let the mixture simmer for another 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
